The Palm Event Center in Pleasanton is always a great place to shoot. Both the indoor spaces and the lovely grounds make for beautiful weddings and good times for guests. Located so far inland allows for those warm evenings that are so nice (and so sorely missed by those of us living in San Francisco). To top it off, the staff here is incredible!

As promised a while back, we have some photos from Anita & Vivek’s wedding at the Palm Event Center! The festivities started out on a Thursday night with a Sangeet at the groom’s parent’s house. The first shot below is one of the many amazing performances at the Sangeet. If you’re not familiar with Indian weddings, the Sangeet is a party thrown by the grooms family where the friends and family of the to-be-weds are asked to entertain the bride and groom. The talent shown at the Sangeets absolutely amazes me! I think if my friends and family had to put on performances we’d be lucky to have an off-key ‘Kumbaya’ and someone doing the Molly Ringwold…
The wedding itself followed on Saturday at the Palm Event Center. Every detail was absolutely beautiful! Anita showed incredible taste in all of her decisions about decor and then there was the food… OH MY GOD! Delicious! Lisa and I were super fortunate enough to be able to photograph the wedding of our dear friends, Lisa + Michelle. Their wedding was a multi day event so this is just a little teaser of what’s to come!
Lisa + I have been swimming in wonderful 2 and 3 day long weddings lately, so I’ve been away from the blog and trying to keep up on our post production. FInally, though, we have some new work to show. These shots are from Neha + Samir’s gorgeous Hindu wedding at the Palm Event Center in Pleasanton. You may remember Neha + Samir from their engagement session photos a few months back.
This was our first time shooting at the Palm Event Center and it’s a great venue! Vineyard, winery, bricks, lawns, cool doors… it’s got it all. Needless to say, Neha + Samir’s great sense of style pervaded their wedding with wonderful and thoughtful details. Their wedding clothes and jewelry were purchased on a recent trip to India, the food was catered by Turmeric in Sunnyvale and the flowers were by Talin of Fleur de Vie.
