James and I just had a slew of awesome April weddings and I feel like this is going to be rockin’ year for love, photography and good times. This is one of my first engagement sessions of the year and their wedding was just in April. This is Ahdia & Mike. They are just such nice people. (I think I will be saying that a lot this year). We had a great time on a pretty windy day. Their Ralston Hall Wedding will be coming soon.

Northern California is loaded with amazing places for weddings. From the beach to the mountains to the vineyards, it seems like we are continually given the opportunity to shoot in lovely locations we didn’t even know existed. Today we have a venue that was new to us, the Holman Ranch, and it is an absolutely stunning place! Nested deep back in the Carmel Valley, the Holman Ranch has so much to offer, it left Lisa and I overwhelmed with opportunity. The ranch buildings themselves are 100+ years old and radiate character. The oak trees scattered throughout the property are craggy, big and beautiful. Their are vineyards, horse shoes, even a barn. Simply amazing place.
Andrea & Michael came up from Orange County for their beautiful, charming and personal wedding. Andrea had one of the most beautiful dresses I’ve seen and Michael looked great in his classic tux (complete with a real bow tie that no one knew how to tie).

This is Zoe, the cutest, little love pug. Her mom and dad, Taissa & Nick are getting married in October at Beaulieu Gardens. James and I are super stoked to be a part of their wedding day. We had a great Engagement Session with Taissa, Nick and Zoe at Baker Beach and Ferry Building. Taissa was a total trooper dealing with the chilly weather, but Zoe stole the show. Here is Zoe in between her shoots, relaxing with her designer handbag.
Does this wedding look like a good time or what? Flasks to match the bridesmaid’s dresses? Crazy disco hummer limo with a full bar? Yep, it was a good time. Amanda & Kyle were married at the Menlo Circus Club in Atherton, California under the beautiful, huge oak tree. I’ve had the pleasure of shooting at the Circus Club a few times now and it is always a lovely wedding. Before the ceremony, Amanda and her girls did some primping at the Inspiration Day Spa and Lisa got this amazing shot (first one below). After that the good times kept on rolling through a first sight, a trip to Stanford (A&K’s alma mater), the beautiful ceremony and the rollicking reception. They had this great idea of having a blank canvas at their reception and asked each guest to make a brush stroke throughout the night. By the end, they actually had a really nice peace of artwork ![]()

Way back in September, Lisa and Jake shot the absolutely gorgeous wedding of Seema & Vivek at the Silver Creek Country Club in San Jose. Their ceremony was outdoors on a bright and beautiful morning and I love the shots of the sun streaming through the mandap. Enjoy!
