Raj Ann & John, The Palace Hotel, Wedding

I love this wedding!  Raj-Ann & John were married recently at the amazingly beautiful Palace Hotel here in San Francisco.  So, when you take a beautiful venue then add amazing flowers, decor and lighting, you get a wedding to blow you away.

Raj Ann & John are such great people, I hope they enjoy their photos as much as I enjoyed making them

Loving our recent wedding at  V Sattui.  What do you get when you have a bride with her own flower shop and a groom who is a nationally recognized chef?  A beautiful and delicious wedding! Congratulations to Rachel & Tom.  Rachel’s shop is Church St Flowers in San Francisco, so if you love the flowers in the photos, you know who to call

Nicole & Andrew, Ralston White Retreat, Mill Valley Wedding

Memorial Day weekend is always a big one for us in the wedding biz, and 2010 was no exception.  This is the first of 3 weddings from that weekend (the other 2 will follow shortly).

Nicole and Andrew are two of the nicest folks you’d ever be lucky enough to meet.  They both grew up in Mill Valley in almost parallel lives with lots of mutual friends, yet they did not meet until they were adults.  Funny how things like that can happen.  But, things work out for the best and despite how long it took for their paths to cross, they now can walk together for a long time to come Enjoy the photos!

Gloria & Andy, Santa Cruz Wedding

Santa Cruz is awesome!  We often find our way down there on any warm sunny day when we can escape the office without feeling too guilty.  Well, this time, we had to go for work   Gloria and Andy have such a great playful vibe and that is the feeling their wedding took on.  From the ring pops passed out by the ring bearer to the actual school bus they rented to shuttle their guests, the whole day was nothing but fun.

J&B, Sikh Wedding

J&B were recently wed at one of our few local Gurdwaras here in the Bay Area.  I’ve said it many times, and I’ll say it again. One of the best things about being a wedding photographer in San Francisco is the great diversity of cultures and venues we are privileged to work with.  Coming as we do from our western backgrounds, South Asian weddings still feel kind of exotic to us and we are constantly excited by the details, the colors, the traditions, etc… It’s like each time we shoot we are presented with something new and fascinating.  In this case, it was the sword that Sikh men carry.  Too cool.

Isabel & Tim, San Francisco City Hall Wedding

Sorry, blog, for it’s been so long since I’ve written upon you   Facebook posts have taken my eye off of you, but I’ve come back to make amends with lots of new posts.  Let’s begin with Isabel & Tim’s city hall nuptials.  This lovely couple and their family were a pleasure to work with and everyone was so chill in front of the camera, my job was easy.  One thing about these City Hall weddings that is very different from our more full blown all day weddings, is the time factor.  With City Hall, we show up, shake hands, click pics and before you know it, we are wrapping up. Not much time to get to know one another or for our clients to get comfortable in front of the camera. Whereas on full day weddings, we likely will have met in person a couple of times before the wedding, maybe spent 3-4 hours on an engagement session, talked on the phone, emailed frequently and we have lots of time together on the wedding day. By the time it’s over, it’s like we are old friends   Somehow though, things always work out regardless of circumstances.
