We used up, cup, sup, rup and pup. Please read my disclosure statement. Students cut them out and then glue to another color of construction paper.

Do you love extending the learning fun with Dr. Seuss books? Find the words and, for, on, great, and day. Write an “up” word on each balloon. I came up with 222, but had no words for i, q and x.

Each month, I plan on creating and sharing more printable packs and activities for most Dr. Seuss books. The lesson includes large and small group activities as well as a creative writing piece. After reading Seuss's book, Great Day For UP! Great Day for Up and Literacy Activity Book Great Day for Up by Dr. Seuss Chart paper or dry erase board Markers Alphabet letters (magnetic, foam, or paper) snap cubes or other solid colored objects, small toys or props Bear & Smiley working on their craft and DIY “UP” collage (images included in printable pack!). Preschoolers, kindergartners, and first-graders will appreciate the humor at the end of the book. For a cute bulletin board, I've also included large U and P letters.
