Our first post of 2010!  Fitting that this would be about both our last wedding of 2009 and our first wedding of 2010.  Can we count one wedding in both categories? I think we can.

Katie & Jason’s wedding was held at the Bently Reserve in lovely downtown San Francisco on New Year’s Eve.  So, you could say their love carried us through the years ;-) Too cheesy, sorry.  In any case, Katie and Jason hosted an absolutely gorgeous event for all of their guests complete with absolutely top notch food and service from Thomas John Events, stunning lighting from Elle and beautiful design/coordination by Melissa Franco. Having a wedding on New Year’s Eve brings with it some added responsibilities for the newlyweds.  Firstly, you need to make sure your guests are having a great time in the hours leading up to midnight.  A later ceremony and dinner led to a couple hours of dancing before the countdown.  They also arranged for a snack of delicious tomato soup to be served around 10:30 and a candy buffet that opened at the same time  Secondly, you need to provide hats, noisemakers, etc… See photo of hats and noisemakers below.  Lastly, you need to kiss at midnight exactly.  No problem there :-)

BTW, I try to edit out shots where you can see me, but in this last photo of Lisa’s there I am (the one with the camera).  It’s just too nice of a shot to not include.
