Tara and Steve were married last week in front of their closest family and friends at the San Francisco City Hall. Eloping from our chilly neighbor to the north, Tara & Steve started their wedding day at the amazing Fairmont Heritage Place : Ghirardelli Square with some delicious (looking) cupcakes from Kara’s Cupcakes and a glass of Veuve Clicquot. Luxurious start to the day, don’t you think. After a limo hustled us off to City Hall, the ceremony began. A quick ‘I do’ , ‘I do, too’ and a kiss was all it took to officially wed our happy couple. There’s a bit in the ceremony that they do at city hall that says ‘nothing we do here today marries you, you are already are married in your hearts’ (I’m paraphrasing), but I think that is such a great sentiment. Especially these days when people are together for years before they get married, often live together before getting married and really have already created a life together. But, there is a shift in perspective when we decide that we are married. I digress… After city hall, we ran around town under threatening skies that never did rain, going from the Ferry Building to Baker Beach to Ghiradelli Square (for banana splits. Such a wonderful day :-)
James, you are a wonderful photographer. The pictures are gorgeous and we were so lucky not to have a downpour of rain. Thanks again.
