But a strum with fingernails were as you said, not alot of oomph. I bought it from Hawaii Music Supply and they set it up perfectly. Never had a problem with it and it works great with the amp. They are brilliant, the only problem is that they are TOO BLOODY LOUD!. First, let me just say how important that a proper set up is. The neck is nice, the frets seem to be just the right height and smooth, and it plays just fine. Personal preference plays a huge role here, so don’t be alarmed if your favorite model isn’t mentioned. If you want better protection, it would be wise to get a hard shell case. Your Fender Tenor Uke will fit nicely into a 30-inches length “Uke Crazy” hard-shell case. However, I am a musician and I have played various instruments ever since elementary school and I have a good ear.
