And without Sage Mode (or 9T-Chakra Mode) I don't see him having the pure speed or damage to get past the sort of defense the Iron Sand provides. Minato's attacks are also neither exceptionally strong (literally failed to kill Obito when he rasenganed him, he legitimately tried to use a kunai knife to stab Ay) or fast (jonin ninja should be able to react to them, assuming they aren't from an angle they cannot see), he just has teleportation.
